Sending a copy of your ACT database (if a database member)
Restoring your ACT database (from In Touch Today)
| How to Make a Text File from ACT (version 6 and earlier): |

- Open the database that you want to send to us.
- If we are mailing to only part of your database, pull up the group that you want to mail to.
- From the File menu, choose Data Exchange, then Export - This will bring up the Export Wizard.
- File type: Choose Text Delimited.
- File name and location - click on the box to the right with three dots in it.
- Save As box will come up.
- Save In: Click on the drop down menu and choose Desktop.
- File Name: This field will contain *.txt. Delete the * and type in what you want to name the exported file. The file name should end in .txt.
- Choose Save
- Click on Next.
- Choose Contact Records Only.
- Click on the Options button. Check the box next to Yes, export field names.
- Click on OK, then Click on Next.
- Choose Current Lookup.
- Click on Next.
- This is a list of fields that will be exported. Make changes if necessary so that all fields needed for addressing your mailing are included.
- Click on Finish.
- Open a new email message and choose Attach File.
- Find the exported file on your Desktop (it will have the name that you gave to it in step 7) and attach it to the message.
- Send the email to us at data@intouchtoday.com.

- Open the database that you want to send to us.
- If we are mailing to only part of your database, pull up the group that you want to mail to.
- Click on File; Export - This will bring up the Export Wizard.
- File type: Choose Text Delimited.
- Filename & Location: Click on the Browse button.
- Save As box will come up.
- Look In: Click on the drop down menu and choose Desktop.
- File Name: Type in what you want to name the exported file.
- Choose Open.
- Choose Next.
- Choose Contact Records Only.
- Choose Current Lookup.
- Choose Next.
- Choose Tab.
- Check the box for Yes, export field names.
- Choose Next.
- This is a list of fields that will be exported. Make changes if necessary so that all fields needed for addressing your mailing are included.
- Choose Next.
- Completed Export Wizard - This is a summary of what you have requested.
- Choose Finish.
- Open a new email message and choose Attach File.
- Find the exported file on your Desktop and attach it to the message.
- Send the email to us at data@intouchtoday.com.

| How to Make a Text File From ACT (version 2006): |

- Look up the contacts that you want to export.
- From the View menu, choose Contact List. This should take you to a list of the current lookup.
- Right click on the list and choose Customize Columns.
- If there are fields in the Show as columns in this order list on the right that you do now want to export, double click on each one to remove it.
- In the Available Fields list on the left, double click on each of the fields that you want to export. This will add them to the list on the right.
- Once the Show as columns in this order list on the right contains all of the fields that you want to export, choose OK.
- From the Tools menu, choose Export to Excel. An Excel file will open, populated with the contents of your Contact List view.
- Save the file with the desired name and file format.
- Open a new email message and choose Attach File.
- Find the exported file on your Desktop and attach it to the message.
- Send the email to us at data@intouchtoday.com.

| How to Send us a Copy of Your ACT Database: |

- Open the ACT database that you want to send to us.
- Click on Save Copy As...
- Choose Copy the database.
- Click on the button with three dots to the right of the Filename box.
- From the Save In: list, choose your Desktop.
- Create a New Folder on your Desktop by clicking the second button to the right of the Save In: list. The copy of the database will consist of 25 files and this folder will keep them together.
- Double Click on the New Folder.
- In the File Name box, enter the name of your database.
- Choose Save, then Okay.
- Open a new email message and choose Attach File.
- Find the New Folder on your Desktop, open it, and find the file with the shaking hands icon. Choose just that file and attach it to the message. (If you would like us to mail to a Group in your database, send us all of the files.)
- Send the email to us at data@intouchtoday.com.

| How to Restore your ACT! Database: |

- Save the Zip file to your desktop
- Extract the database file from the zip file, and save it to somewhere you can find it.
- Open ACT
- Click on File
- Click on Restore (This will bring up a box that asks you what File to Restore and Where you want to restore it).
- Choose the database you want to restore.
- The To Folder box should show C:\Program Files\Symantec\ACT\Databases or C:\Program Files\ACT\Databases
